Auditing the Human Resources Function

The HR function is an integral part of every organization’s success. Given the important role that human capital plays, it is imperative to examine the organization’s human resources infrastructure, review the function’s objectives, risks and controls, and provide management with helpful information to improve its effectiveness.

There’s an advantage to having the audit conducted by an external consultant. Because the external consultant has fewer biases about the organization and has less personal interest in the outcome than an employee of the company, the external consultant is more objective.
